  1. Extract the zip file after downloaded and place the extracted flutter in the desired installation location for the Flutter SDK. Example in directory : C:\flutter; do not install or place Flutter in a directory like C:\Program Files\ that requires elevated privileges
  1. Locate the file which name flutter_console.bat inside the flutter directory extracted. Double-clicking for running the program or update your path/directory environment variable with this step :
    • Click Start search bar, type with ‘env’ and select Edit environment variables for your account
    • Under User variables check the Path:
      • If the entry does exist value, append the full path to flutter\bin using ; as a separator from existing values.
      • If the entry does not exist value, create a new user variable named Path with the full path to flutter\bin as its value.

  1. Run Flutter Doctor, First open command prompt / console window in flutter directory.This command result checks your environment and displays a report of the status of your Flutter installation. Check the output from command prompt carefully for other software, if  show any error you may need to install or further tasks to perform (shown in bold text).

  1. Android Setup Installation

Flutter relies on a full installation of Android Studio to supply its Android platform dependencies.

a. Download and Install Software Android Studio https://developer.android.com/studio/install

b. Start Android Studio installed, and go through the ‘Android Studio Setup Wizard’. This installs the latest package Android SDK, Android SDK Platform-Tools, and Android SDK Build-Tools, which are package required by Flutter when developing for Android.

c. Set up android device with steps :

For prepare to run and test your Flutter application on an Android device, you’ll need an Android device running Android 4.1 (API level 16) or higher.

    1. Enable option Developer options and USB debugging on your device. Detailed instructions are available in here Android documentation.
    2. For Windows-only: Install the Google USB Driver
    3. Using a USB cable, connect or plug your phone into your computer. If prompted on your device, authorize your computer to access your device.
    4. In the terminal or command prompt, run the flutter devices command to verify that Flutter recognizes your connected Android device.

By default, Flutter will uses the version of the Android SDK where your adb tool is based directory. If you want Flutter to use with different installation of the Android SDK, you must set up the ANDROID_HOME environment variable to that installation directory.

  1. Next Step,Set up the Android Emulator Devices. To prepare to run and test your Flutter app on the Android emulator, follow these steps:
    • Enable VM acceleration on your machine.
    • Launch startup Android Studio > Tools > Android > AVD Manager and select Create Virtual Device. (The Android submenu is only display when inside an Android project.)

    • Choose a device definition and select Next.

    • Choice one or more system images for the Android versions you want to emulate, and select Next. An x86 or x86_64 image is better recommended.

    • Under Emulated Performance, please select Hardware – GLES 2.0 to enable fiture hardware acceleration.
    • Verify the AVD Manager configuration is correct, and select Finish to end this section.  For details on the above steps, please see Managing AVDs.
    • In Display Android Virtual Device Manager, click Run the emulator in the toolbar. The emulator will starts up and displays the default appreance canvas for your selected OS version and device.
